The Super 8 look. Shot in 4K.
The grain, the warmth, the feeling of an old home movie — captured on today's cameras, so it's as clear fifty years from now as it is on your wedding night.
"There's a reason old home movies make us cry. We want that same feeling for you — without a physical roll of film that can't be previewed, can't be backed up, and can't be recovered if something goes wrong."
Real film, or the real look?
Side by side, you won't see a difference — same grain, same light leaks, same dreamy flicker of motion. Our grade was built frame by frame to match real Super 8 film. Here's an honest look at where the two actually differ.
The look
Authentic grain and light leaks, straight off the film
The identical look, built into our own custom color grade
The motion
That classic flicker and dreamy, slightly choppy movement
Recreated frame for frame in the edit
Resolution & clarity
Soft, low-resolution — even on a modern screen
True 4K — sharp on any screen, for decades to come
Risk of lost footage
No backup if it's lost, fogged, or damaged in developing
Backed up, just like the rest of your footage
Seeing it before your wedding day
Shot blind — no preview of exposure or framing
Fully previewable, shot and reviewed like any modern camera
Editing & color control
Fixed once it's developed
Fully editable — exposure, color, and pacing
A physical reel to hold
Yes — an actual reel of chemical film
Delivered digitally — no physical reel
Same moment, two treatments.
This is the same clip, graded twice — so you can see exactly what the Super 8 look adds.
One more, side by side.
A different couple, same honest comparison — standard grade next to the Super 8 emulation.
More examples
These aren't full Super 8 films — they're real weddings showing how much of the look we blend in, from a few scenes to nearly the whole day.
Add it to your day

- Delivered as its own short reel
- Added to any wedding package
The Full Reel

All In

- Best for couples who want the look as their main aesthetic
- Paired with our something STUNNING package
Questions we get a lot
Still not sure? Call us at 864.887.8599.
Is this shot on physical Super 8 film?
No — and we're upfront about that. We shoot on modern 4K cameras and apply a color grade built from real Super 8 film in DaVinci Resolve. You get the same nostalgic look, without the risk or resolution loss of actual film stock.
Can we get both the Super 8 look and our normal wedding film?
Yes — that's how we recommend using it. Most couples add a short Super 8-style reel or a few scenes alongside their standard highlight film, so you get the nostalgic feel and the crisp, clear main film.
How is this different from a filter or preset?
A quick filter shifts color. Our grade is built to match how real Super 8 film actually behaves — grain structure, light leaks, exposure roll-off, and motion — applied frame by frame in a full color-grading pass, not a one-click overlay.
Does this cost extra?
Yes, it's an add-on to your wedding video package. Pricing depends on how much of your day you'd like graded this way — see the options above, give us a call, or ask us for a custom quote through the contact form. We welcome it!
How long until we get our film?
Same turnaround as the rest of your wedding footage; within 3 weeks — no extra wait, since there's no film to send to a lab to convert to digital; because ours is already digital, already delivery ready..
